The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) successfully rolled out its first-ever Civil Registration System (CRS) Mobile Services in the Province of Siquijor from June 3 to 5, 2025, making the province the pilot area for this groundbreaking initiative aimed at expanding access to vital civil registry documents.

Over the three-day activity, the CRS Mobile Services processed a total of 991 Batch Request Entry Query System (BREQS) transactions, with 941 clients served through BREQS. Demonstrating the efficiency of the pilot, the PSA also successfully processed and released 499 civil registry documents on the same day of processing, providing immediate service to residents in need of birth, marriage, death, and other civil registry documents.

As the pilot province, Siquijor played a key role in testing the operational feasibility of delivering CRS services outside fixed CRS outlets. The initiative was conducted in coordination with provincial and local government units and municipal civil registry offices across the province.

In a show of support for the program, (4th from the left) National Statistician Claire Dennis S. Mapa, (3rd from the left) Interim Regional Director John F. Campomanes, (2nd from the left) Chief Statistical Specialist Ariel T. Fortuito, (1st from the left) Supervising Statistical Specialist/OIC Engr. Joselito C. Maghanoy, (2nd from the right) Provincial Administrator Cyrus Olpoc and (1st from the right) Registration Officer II Edwin P. Guiking were present at the Dugokanan sa Kapitolyo for the opening ceremony. They officially opened the conduct of the CRS Mobile Services, emphasizing the importance of accessible civil registration for all Filipinos.

The PSA reaffirmed its commitment to expanding the CRS Mobile Services to more provinces nationwide to further refine and enhance the delivery of services on the ground.
