
23 July 2025 – SIQUIJOR, PHILIPPINES. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office is actively continuing its series of presentations for the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) preliminary results across the municipalities of Siquijor province. This ongoing initiative aims to equip Local Government Units (LGUs) with timely and localized data essential for informed, evidence-based planning and effective governance.
The first part of this series of crucial presentations was held in the Municipality of Larena on 10 July 2025, held at the SB Session Hall. The preliminary findings were presented by Engr. Joselito C. Maghanoy, Supervising Statistical Specialist/Officer-In-Charge (SuSS/OIC) of PSA-Siquijor, and Ms. Jill Bernadette C. Abing, Senior Statistical Specialist (SrSS) and Provincial Focal Person for CBMS. The event saw the active participation of Mayor Cyrus Vincent M. Calibo, Vice-Mayor Jan Dean O. Villa, OIC-MPDC Engr. Christine D. Masayon, and other key department heads and representatives.
Following Larena, the PSA-Siquijor team proceeded to the Municipality of San Juan for their presentation on 21 July 2025, at the Conference Room of the New Municipal Building of LGU San Juan. SrSS Abing, alongside with Mr. Eric L. Balios, Statistical Specialist II and Cluster Head for LGU San Juan, delivered the results to Mayor Rubilyn M. Ragay, OIC-MPDC Engr. Earl Dwight Ocay, and other municipal department heads and representatives.

Most recently, on 22 July 2025, the Municipality of Enrique Villanueva received its preliminary CBMS results at the Function Hall of LGU Enrique Villanueva. The presentation was conducted by SrSS Abing and Ms. Betsy Pearl A. Achay, Statistical Analyst and Cluster Head for Enrique Villanueva. In attendance were Mayor Ruth B. Aque, Vice-Mayor Gerold V. Pal-ing, MPDC Engr. Lynie B. Hora, and various municipal department heads and representatives.
Across all presentations, the LGUs have expressed profound gratitude for the conduct of the CBMS, recognizing its invaluable contribution to facilitating data-based planning and enhancing the responsiveness of local development programs.
The PSA – Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office remains committed to completing the preliminary results presentations for the remaining municipalities in the province. These ongoing presentations are designed to provide LGUs with early insights into the data, allowing immediate verification and ensuring that all LGUs have access to this vital information for their strategic planning.
