The 2025 Quarterly Philippine Business and Industry (QSPBI) is one of the designated statistical activities of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) as it provides quarterly data on employment, compensation, revenue or sales, and inventories for the various sections of the economy.

It is a nationwide survey covering about 6,000 sample establishments quarterly and one of the main sources of data in the compilation of the Quarterly National Accounts of the Philippines (QNAP).

2025 QSPBI Second Level Training was attended by the undersigned and SA Betsy Pearl A. Achay, which was held at Park Inn by Radisson Hotel in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental on July 8-9, 2025. The two-day training was facilitated by Central Office personnel and Regional Focal Persons with attendance and participation from the Provincial and Alternate Focal Persons of the three (3) provinces of the Negros Island Region, namely: Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental and Siquijor.

QSPBI with its different levels of training, is a continuous learning process. Trainings are being conducted annually or as needed for both Central Office (CO) and Field Offices (FOs) to ensure uniformity and correctness of the implementation of the QSPBI field operations.

The conduct of QSPBI is in accordance with Republic Act No. 10625 (Philippine Statistical Act of 2013), which authorizes the PSA to prepare and conduct periodic censuses on various sectors of economy, and Executive Order No. 352 mandating the conduct of QSPBI quarterly which provide key measures on the levels, structure, performance, and trends of businesses and industries. These data will be used by government planners, policymakers, and administrators in formulating social and economic development plans, policies, and programs.
