The Philippine Statistics Authority is conducting regularly the Quarterly Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (QSPBI) and regarded as one of the designated statistical activities.

QSPBI provides quarterly data on employment, compensation, revenue or sales, and inventories for the various sectors of the economy. It is one of the main sources of data in the compilation of the Quarterly National Accounts of the Philippines (QNAP). Thus, a nationwide survey covering about 6,000 sample establishments quarterly.

Siquijor province is allotted with seven (7) sample establishments which are regarded as major establishments. Meanwhile, multiple options are given to sample establishments be able to respond to the survey. They can choose from these options in sending the information for the data items in the survey questionnaire.

PSA, Siquijor PSO headed by OIC Joselito C. Maghanoy is enjoining every sample establishment in the province to support and cooperate in this statistical undertaking to generate accurate and reliable data in response to the needs of our economy, looking forward for a better economy and an improved quality of life of all Filipinos, and the Siquijodnons, in particular.
