                                  Provincial Statistics Committee Agency Members with the PSC Chairperson, EnP. Jason D. Manos and Municipal Mayor of San Juan, Hon. Rubilyn Maata Ragay

Lazi, Siquijor – July 17, 2025 - The Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) of Siquijor, chaired by EnP. Jason D. Manos, successfully convened its 3rd Quarter Meeting for Calendar Year 2025 at TESDA Lazi Technical Institute, Tigbawan, Lazi, Siquijor.

The meeting commenced with the preliminaries, including an invocation, the singing of the National Anthem, and the Siquijor Hymn. Laika Jane M. Anoos, member of the secretariat, facilitated the roll call and quorum determination, ensuring the smooth flow of the proceedings. The gathering brought together key stakeholders to discuss accomplishments, ongoing initiatives, and future plans for the province’s statistical development.

In his opening remarks, PSC Chairperson EnP. Jason D. Manos welcomed all attendees and expressed his gratitude to TESDA Lazi Technical Institute for its warm hospitality. He also shared key highlights from the recently concluded Regional Development Planning Workshops he attended, emphasizing the positive impacts and development plans brought about the creation of the Negros Island Region for the three (3) provinces it comprises. Mr. Lyndon M. Duhaylungsod, Administrator/Officer-in-Charge of TESDA-LTI, also delivered a message, expressing his appreciation for choosing the institute as the venue for the quarter’s meeting.

The committee tackled several key agenda items, including:
1.    LGU Lazi Programs and Projects for C.Y. 2025 and Accomplishments from C.Y. 2024
2.    PhilSys Updates
3.    Civil Registration Updates
4.    Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) Updates
5.    PSA-LGU Data Sharing of Business Register Projects (PLDS-BRP) Updates
6.    Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Updates
7.    Other Matter: 2023 Poverty Statistics


A significant outcome of the meeting was the approval of the following resolutions:
•    PSC Resolution No. 06, Series of 2025 – Enjoining government agencies, LGUs, academe, and private sector to participate and support the 36th National Statistics Month Celebration
•    PSC Resolution No. 07, Series of 2025 – Enjoining government agencies, LGUs, academe, and private sector to assist and support the 2025 Updating of List of Agricultural Farm Operators (ULAFO) and Listing of Marine Fish Landing Center (LMFLC) Survey
•    PSC Resolution No. 08, Series of 2025 – Enjoining government agencies, LGUs, academe, and private sector to assist and support the 2025 National Migration Survey
•    PSC Resolution No. 09, Series of 2025 – Commending the TESDA Lazi Technical Institute headed by Mr. Lyndon M. Duhaylungsod in hosting the Third Quarter Provincial Statistics Committee Meeting


Before the adjournment, the newly elected Municipal Mayor of San Juan, Hon. Rubilyn M. Ragay, delivered a brief message, underscoring the importance of the PSC meeting in formulating comprehensive strategies and plans grounded on standardized and reliable statistical data within her jurisdiction. She also expressed her commitment to actively participate in future PSC meetings.


The meeting reinforced the PSC’s dedication to strengthening collaboration among stakeholders and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of statistical data crucial for evidence-based policymaking in the Province of Siquijor.
