SIQUIJOR, Philippines – August 7, 2025 — For the month of July 2025, a total of 53 previously unregistered individuals from various municipalities across the province of Siquijor were officially awarded their birth certificates printed on security paper under the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP).
BRAP provides free assistance for the late registration of birth and covers the processing and issuance of official birth certificates.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Siquijor distributed Certificates of Live Birth in Security Paper across the following municipalities: 18 awardees in San Juan, 17 in Maria, 10 in Siquijor, 4 in Enrique Villanueva, 3 in Lazi, and 1 in Larena.
As of August 6, 2025, a total of 456 birth certificates on security paper have been distributed in the province under the BRAP initiative.
BRAP recipients expressed their deep gratitude for the opportunity to finally have their birth officially registered and were thankful that with the help of BRAP, they now hold a copy of their birth certificate printed on security paper.
The PSA, together with the Local Civil Registry Offices of the province of Siquijor, continues to conduct mobile and house-to-house registration and distribution of Birth Certificates in support of a zero-unregistered-Filipino goal. With more distributions scheduled in the coming weeks, the project continues its mission to ensure every citizen has access to legal identity.
