The 2025 Updating of the List of Agricultural Farm Operators and Inland Fishing Households and 2025 Listing of Marine Fish Landing Centers (ULAFO-LMFLC) is part of the continuous effort of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) towards improving the quality of its agricultural and fisheries surveys and that is, sampling frame updating is necessary. This is to keep up with the fast-changing agriculture and fisheries sector prior to the implementation and redesigning of agriculture and fisheries surveys.

The authority in the conduct of the 2025 ULAFO-LMFLC emanates from the Republic Act No. 10625, otherwise known as the “Philippine Statistical Act of 2013”, which authorizes the PSA to prepare and conduct periodic censuses on various sectors of economy.
As PSA ventures into another important statistical undertaking and so its preparation began. To equip personnel involved for the 2025 ULAFO-LMFLC, a five (5) day Provincial Training was conducted on 4-8 August 2025 at PSA, Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office.  This was participated by six (6) Enumerators and one (1) TS together with the assigned Siquijor PSO personnel.  Field practice was also undertaken thus, it is a very important part of the ENs training to test survey protocols as well its survey concepts and definitions.  In this, they were immersed in the actual field operation.

The ULAFO-LMFLC Enumerator (EN) plays a very crucial role in ensuring the success of this undertaking, particularly in assuring the accuracy and integrity of the data collected. The level of quality of the data that will be collected by the ENs in this listing operation will highly depend on how well they understand the concepts and definitions, as well as how effective they can execute the interview techniques and procedures that will be discussed during the training. All ENs will be trained to gather information during the listing that are expected to be accurate, complete, and strictly in accordance with the instructions, concepts, and definitions laid out in the manual of operation.
