The Philippine Statistics Authority–Siquijor presented the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) preliminary results to the Municipality of Lazi on August 11, 2025, held at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall of the municipality.
Local officials led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Phil Moore D. Largo and Vice Mayor Hon. Michael O. Omictin, together with Sangguniang Bayan Members, department heads, and representatives from various offices, gathered to review and discuss the findings. Their presence reflected the municipality’s strong commitment to shaping local policies based on solid data.
The PSA team outlined key indicators captured by the CBMS, showing how the information could be used to track community conditions, identify priority areas, and design targeted interventions. The discussion also became an opportunity for SB Members to actively validate the results, offering insights from their respective barangays and pointing out areas that may require further verification.
Mayor Largo acknowledged the value of the CBMS in supporting transparent and responsive governance, noting that accurate data helps ensure that projects match the real needs of residents. The LGU likewise expressed its intent to incorporate the results into its planning and development agenda.
